WHAT TO EXPECT
Your session begins with a brief consultation to understand your needs, any areas of concern, and to confirm that hot stone massage is appropriate for you. Your therapist arrives with professionally heated stones and all equipment required for your session. You will lie on a massage table with full draping at all times. Heated stones are placed on key areas of the body to allow warmth to penetrate the muscles gradually. Your therapist then uses a combination of the stones and hands-on techniques to work through areas of tension. The heat may feel quite intense in the first few moments — this is normal and settles quickly as the muscles respond. After your session, you may feel deeply relaxed and are advised to rest and drink water where possible.
